Indian lifestyle brand FabIndia launched its “Revive” initiative in March 2025 in collaboration with rural artisan clusters in Rajasthan, Odisha and Tamil Nadu.
The collection uses natural dyes (pomegranate rind, turmeric, madder, indigo), hand‑loomed blends of linen/banana fibre/eri silk, and training modules for artisans in low‑impact dyeing processes. The model is capacity‑building: artisan livelihoods + heritage textiles + ecological materials.
For sustainability, the story is three‑fold: environmental (low‑impact dyes/fibres), social (artisan income, skill preservation) and cultural (heritage textiles). It offers a blueprint for craft brands to scale sustainably without losing roots.
