ARKET (part of the H&M Group) has launched a repair‑and‑alteration service in partnership with fashion‑tech platform SOJO. The service allows customers to book mending or tailoring via ARKET’s website or in‑store drop‑off in London, thereby encouraging repair instead of replacement.

This move signals that mainstream and accessible brands are embracing circularity—designing not just for initial sale but for extended life and reuse. SOJO’s model (digitised repair operations, tracking environmental savings) helps brands embed longevity into their offering. For consumers: minor repairs become part of the service menu, not just a luxury extra. Ultimately, this helps reduce textile waste and shifts mindsets away from disposability.
